#Machiavellianism
Chilling : "Reform members were much more likely to choose qualities which psychologists call the ‘dark triad’, of narcissism, Machiavellianism and subclinical psychopathy."
Party members like to think they represent “ordinary voters”.

New research suggests they mostly represent each other, rather than the public at large – with one notable exception. ⤵️
The strange people who join political parties
Only a minority of people ever join a political party. But those who do influence our politics. So who are they? Who are the people who join political parties?

Ghislaine Maxwell was the closest thing to a 'friend' that Epstein had, but in fact she something more valuable. She was the main facilitator of his sex enterprise who hunted, secured, manipulated, and groomed his victims. Two psychopaths with high degree of narcissism, sadism, and Machiavellianism.

I want everyone on Bluesky to start using the word "crackpot" when referring to Trump.

Because he's gone waaay beyond just "narcissism," "sociopathy," "Machiavellianism," and "sadism."

The man's a crackpot, and it's time to call him what he is.

He exhibits neither the naked Machiavellianism of Vedek Winn nor the stolid sterility of Vedek Bariel. Ideal Kai material.

I relate, but I'm not sure what your point is. I agree that all religions are harmful, and that the same tendencies exist outside of religion.

A common theme among the worst of humanity is the "dark tetrad": Narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy/sociopathy, and sadism.

I think the spectrum between extreme naivety and extreme Machiavellianism is a horseshoe....manipulators who are too clever for their own good think they will always get away with it...and that's really naive.

Chris Rock is right. Interesting how the McConnell rule applied to Obama but not Trump. If it did we would not have Amy Cony Barrett who was sworn in very quickly. McConnell is retiring this November. He will have a negative legacy. Chris Rock pointed out his Machiavellianism a while ago.

I’m seeing more and more folks start to believe that euphemism is a legitimate part of the scientific process.

I’ll cash in one of my ‘pedigree for days’ chips to state clearly: no, it isn’t.

Science requires you to name things accurately.

Subterfuge and Machiavellianism are just that.

God is the embodiment of the dark triad:

a trio of subclinical, socially aversive personality traits—narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy—that share tendencies toward manipulation, selfishness, and a lack of empathy.
February 5, 2026 at 5:01 PM
please sir, more machiavellianism!

just begging for the darkest triad...

(because he's more than sufficiently narcissistic & psychopathic already)
This Claremont twit is so fearful of “wine moms” with cell phones and whistles that he’s demanding Trump crush them with violence.

Or rather, more violence.

If I actually thought anyone in the regime is CAPABLE of Machiavellianism.......

100%. They need psychiatric help, not a microphone.

The conservative platform is just a group expression of dissociative disorders. If you have narcissism, sadism, Machiavellianism, or sociopathy: you're going to subscribe to a politics that hurts and dominates people.

Once you learn that a lot of ‘dark triad’ traits - narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy - do very well in corporate life and politics - you start to question those power structures. Epstein clearly was seen as charming by many of those he befriended
February 4, 2026 at 1:59 PM
What is this? Sado-Machiavellianism?
February 4, 2026 at 1:20 PM
No it isn't the corrupting influence of power. Most ppl can't comprehend how much more a billion is compared to a million. All billionaires are dishonest, greedy and corrupt in the first place. Hoarding money isn't an accident. Stop making excuses for people with Machiavellianism.

Both are dark tetrad predators; psychopathy, Machiavellianism, sadism, and narcissism. Erich Fromm referred to such monsters as “the quintessence of evil — the most severe pathology and the root of the most vicious destructiveness and inhumanity.”
February 3, 2026 at 8:49 PM
It's been stated by multiple docs that trump has the "dark triad" of psychopathology which includes "narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy". This is common among serial killers, rapists and the worst authoritarians in history.

Congratulations America and welcome to the Golden Age.
So. If everything in the Epstein files is true. The president of the United States is a violent rapist. And a serial killer.

Hyperthyroidism is associated with higher psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and sadism, along with greater antagonism and reduced empathic functioning.

I can tell you from experience that evil lies in extreme mental disorders such as those who fall in the Dark Tetrad arena:

"Four distinct yet interrelated malicious traits: Machiavellianism (manipulation), Narcissism (entitlement), Psychopathy (callousness), and Sadism (pleasure in others' pain)"
February 3, 2026 at 2:19 AM
These are evil people - elected to nothing - who have no right to claim power over the lives & destinies of the rest of us.
Also, they are NONE of them as brilliant as the believe they are.
Machiavellianism (just because you can afford it) doesn’t equal intelligence or a real education.

Narcissism -- one of Trump's illnesses. Along with sociopathy, Machiavellianism, and sadism.
February 2, 2026 at 3:30 PM
From a psychological view monster is an apt title for him. He has exhibited traits of all 4 of the Dark Tetrad. These are Narcissist, Psychopath, Sadism, and Machiavellianism. These are considered the most anti-social conditions and are notoriously difficult to treat.
