I think that I might actually try out Linux in my next pc or if windows detects that I used massgrave to get extended support lol. Bazzite actually seems really good or maybe I’ll just have it be solely for gaming and install steamos

You can use massgrave to activate windows via a powershell command. I use this a lot with family and friends when they lose their key in a reinstall.

legit just downgrade to windows 10. the extended security updates can be enabled via massgrave now so its good for another 3 years. mileage may vary if you play newer AAA games i guess

you may want to look into win10 ltsc options, you can bypass the awfully expensive activation key with massgrave. it also comes without all the usual ms bloatware which is a very nice plus

I personally recommend chris titus' win utility(link below), also Rufus for creating a local account plus removing the stupid TPM requirement

it's worth noting that LTSC breaks a lot of games (notably remembering dragons dogma 2 refusing to boot on an LTSC computer) so that's one thing to be conscious of. the massgrave page linked mentions that clearly though so just make sure that you read the documentation to see what the tradeoffs are!
LTSC is windows 10 naked edition. Is has no apps, no store, no game bar or Xbox, not even OneDrive. ALL of that can be installed *if you want*. It's for businesses, but you can go set up until something like 2028 through massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc...

Thank you Socks for breaking down MassGrave in layman's terms. A lot of users are intimidated by CLI and worry they're going to do irreversible damage to their system, and are fear mongered by Microsoft into change. Glad to see the old guards of the internet are still out here o7 🦊

the fact that using massgrave script to ahoy matey your way into the ESU is technically illegal, but Microsoft shifting windows to a SAAS subscription model and forcibly injecting both ads and their slop generator into every aspect of a machine you bought and fucking own isn't illegal is insane.
