Same here. My deepest dive was 115' off the Keystorm in the St Lawrence.
I adopted some of the ideas of tech divers, but didn't want to spend that much time decompressing & fiddling with air mixtures.
We were well-trained under NAUI, & they ensured we were ready for anything.

You don’t have to. NAUI is better training. If you plan a trip, check in and see if I’ve been there and have recommendations.

The only health issues I have would benefit greatly from neutral buoyancy. (Mostly my sore joints from jiu jitsu.)

That is very cool. As a NAUI diver, I have had my share of cold water to -130’ but nothing below 40 degrees F.
And that was from an upwelling of the Continental Shelf off of CA. Normally it’s 50 degrees or so.
Would love to do down that cube & see life.

This is a huge expansion of the story. Subpoena NAUI immediately. It is unconscionable that they didn’t pull certification for an instructors that have killed multiple people in a private pond, which should be the safest, most controlled environment possible.
