Though I'm thinking more along these lines...

Throw back to this Steve Reich style Phase Study I composed using the Nerdseq. I actually meant to make more of these phase pieces but somehow haven't gotten around to it...

i dunno why i had so much trouble figuring it out in the past, but I finally figured out a simple way to randomly move between phrases on the nerdseq

finally was able to reproduce a weird error that permanently corrupts save files with the eurorack nerdseq module equipped with the multi-io expander. every save file that uses audio samples on tracks 7 & 8 seems to become corrupted upon reloading the save, causing no sound. persists through reboots

I almost went with Nerdseq for my primary sequencer. Looks incredible and flexible. Ended up going with the Five12 Vector. It’s a good one too 👌🏽

I use Metron for drum sequencing and NerdSeq for melodies. NS is great for sequencing chords on the Chainsaw for example. They’re sitting outside my case at the moment though while I try out an external sequencer/MIDI. Feels much less “Eurorack” though.

You can also record MIDI into it as patterns as you’re playing. NerdSeq is amazing!

I spent a long time rearranging my #eurorack case to make room for the Nerdseq Dualchord expander which arrives today. Sad to have it in a pod case all alone, but that made room for a few other modules that I've taken out of cryo sleep. Excited to test the new setup!

Yeah I was eyeing the NerdSeq and I can totally see all its possibilities, the thing that bugs me about it is it seems like you have to prepare everything beforehand and it doesn't allow for much improvisation or happy accidents. Or do you think otherwise as an owner of the module?

i am super excited about this Nerdseq skiff!! it'll be nice to have a tracker that's able to float from place to place☺️☺️

Just got some time with my new #nerdseq an awesome module. Used the most basic functions of it and already love it. I do love trackers. Just a practice piece to see what I could conjure.

Yeah I played with the Nerdseq video synth expander at superbooth. It was actually quite cool!

My first post has to be about Modular Synthesis of course🤗. Preparing my gig for MOTS. First time with Nerdseq as the brain of my setup. I didn't dare for a long time because I found it overwhelming in terms of possibilities. However, I'm starting to find my way around. Come listen this Saturday.

Ok time for synth. The main voice is a DualChord (Nerdseq Expander) through a Bastl Ikarie filter (my favorite filter in all of Eurorack). Thank you Richmond musicians making music and putting on shows through all of this. Weekend neighborhood shows are keeping me going. #synthsky

Also:

dirtywave.com

And

polyend.com/tracker/

But Nerdseq is the craziest. A gateway into an alternate Eurorack dimension. It can even produce visuals 🫠

I just saw that there’s new firmware for the NerdSeq that adds video capabilities. Could get bit by both, if you haven’t been bit by the video synth bug yet

Very impressed with the Nerdseq demo at Machina Bristronica - every Q was responded to “Yes it can do that / interface with that / connect to that”
July 24, 2025 at 9:38 PM
I do actually. The one on the far right is usually a DJ filter, and the Ex often serves as additional synth voices. I probably need to find a way to cram more filters and envelopes into this case though. Debating ditching the Fire for external drums (e.g. NerdSEQ controlling a Digitakt via MIDI).

No more NerdSeq?

Nice drones! And nice Nerdseq there in the background 🤓

I have a 7U 104hp case full of goodness! I won't list every module, but I use the Bartender Mixer for output and the brain of the whole thing is thr Nerdseq hybrid tracker/sequencer. The Nerdseq is almost like a mini-DAW in eurorack Form.

Oh awesome! Yup he would most definitely know best. Good news is he’s very active in the nerdseq discord. He really cares about his creation and always coming up with ways to extend and improve it. That’s so cool you got to meet him and have a conversation in person!
