Ruminating on Tarkovsky's Nostalghia film for the past year; very relevant to Carney's Davos speech. His agenda aside, the ethos of present recognition has relevance for us. Nostalgia traps us in between what we lost and the future. We can only carry our own candle, our sovereignty, in the storm.

4. Nostalghia- Wow. I geniunley feel inspired to be a better person. Profound doesnt go far enough to describe this. The meditative nature fo the film and its languid pace culminate an emotional piledriver of an ending. Blazing hot take, Tarkovsky makes good movies. Shocker. 10/10

Moi j'aime sans doute un peu plus Nostalghia, Le Miroir et Solaris, mais j'ai vraiment du mal à les classer. Stalker, une fois sur deux, soit je me dis qu'il est moins bien que dans mon souvenir, soit mieux. 😅 Mais je l'aime beaucoup (même s'il est un chouïa long).

Autrefois j'estimais que Le Miroir était mon préféré, surtout parce que Nostalghia était le seul que je n'avais pas vu. Mais j'ai eu la chance de voir une reprise au ciné, et surtout j'adore l'une des affiches (celle qui était sur le DVD FSF) dont j'ai une réplique derrière moi dans mon bureau.
