我爸60年代到美國讀書，為了成為美國人而跟一個美國女子結婚，雖然不愛她，雖然她想要離婚，但他為了成功拿到公民不肯離婚，拖了很久以後因為我爸要娶我媽才同意離婚。我的美國護照是用別人的痛苦而堆疊出來的。
我家裡親戚都是透過我爸媽獲得公民身份，我媽跟我說過，為了綠卡他們不時需要辭掉工作、台美來回飛，住宿費是省了（因為住在我家），但是機票錢加無法工作，這是有經濟基礎的人...
