#OttCity…tell
If you miss the deadline to tell the City that you own your home you will pay a late fee. If you miss the final deadline you will pay additional tax. This is negative option billing at work for the City, a practice banned for businesses, with good reason!
The ends do not justify the means. #ottcity

And general PSA for #OttCity re: changes to required #CarbonMonoxide detectors.

Can you tell I’m looking at accumulated emails…hoping it’ll be like counting sheep. 🤪

As of January 1, 2026, changes to the Ontario Fire Code will require increased carbon monoxide (CO) alarm detection in residential occupancies and care occupancies.

6/6 Early tell on mayoral contest: the vote on rescinding the city’s return-to-office mandate. Watch who lines up where on Council. If mandate is rescinded, it's small symbol at #ottcity of Leiper contrasting himself from Mayor. #ottnews

Not sure why #OttCity seems intent on setting up bureaucratic hurdles to people who want to grow tomatoes in a box on the boulevard

Just tell people that the city accepts no responsibility and let us have at it

Maybe publish maps that show areas of potentially toxic soil areas … but that’s it

#OttCity Council considers our Transportation Master Plan on July 23.

The Plan’s current form misses the Official Plan’s—and thus Council’s own—commitment to shift to sustainable, human-friendly modes.

Tell your councillor you want a saner, healthier transport system.

@en.ottawa.ca's draft Transportation Master Plan perpetuates this car dependency: it abandons the Official Plan's commitment to make >50% of all trips by sustainable modes by 2046.

Ratepayers in the core bankroll this city only to have people in the red part tell us we can’t have better transit, house the homeless and make our streets safer. This is not a recipe for a functioning city in 2025. It’s time for change. #ottawa #ottcity

Does it include the City strategy to deal with its funding deficit ($10 billion I am told) to maintain, repair & renew the City's aging facilities & infrastructure? Do tell. #ottcity

Mike Patton is disgusted with the lack of media attention to the Osgoode Ward by-election, in particular to a well-attended recent all-candidates meeting. Is the Tewin development, LRT, rural-urban issues important? Can't tell you. #ottcity #ottnews
