Visited PICOF (Komiket) this year with LICAF where we worked with local & disadvantaged kids, teaching making & reading comics. Plus tabled at a bustling festival & taught creators skills. All supported by Philippines government & born from the organisers passion. It was uplifting & inspiring.
I see a similiar process happening in Australia and the Philippines - both are small countries starting with little to no comics reading culture, but it is emerging as creators come together to create festivals/local programs (PCAF, Komiket), and now their government is paying attention

I'm actually not sure, but let me ask her. Another alternative is to bulk buy some stuff from Komiket because I do think the shipping doesn't increase proportionately to the volume. But let me ask around at PICOF.
