I guess it's probably slightly more accurate to say that it's terminated by finding a NULL pointer (which is encoded as b'0'), rather than a python NULL object, given that NULL is obviously not an object...

I do find it funny that Python marshalled dictionaries are 0x30 terminated - because they are terminated by nulls, except that they are terminated by python NULL objects as opposed to null bytes, and those are encoded in the marshal format as b'0' (and are literally just used for this afaict?)

3 years ago, screwing around with Python in high school/college, becoming a DBA, then hard pivoting to Power BI felt unfocused.
