Well, AMD just officially lost me as a GPU customer. I was hoping to make my next GPU A Radeon RX 9700XT but if AMD is gonna end support for RNDA 1 & 2, then that tells me their GPU'S only have support for 2-5 years before they leave their customer's in the dirt. Guess I'll be forced to run Nvidia.

The CPU is likely similar, and possibly the NPU.
But 40 CUs? RNDA 3.5?
That's a third fewer CUs than the current PS5 Pro. And half the memory bandwidth.
The AI Pro Max+ 395 was marketed as "faster than a PS5" but...the PS5 Pro exists and it doesn't beat that for high-end gaming.

The announcement is light on concrete info. AMD says it has built this architecture from the ground up and the GPUs built on RDNA 4 will include “a significant boost in AI.” AMD optimized compute units in RNDA 4, improved its ray-tracing engine & performance, and upgraded its media encoding quality.
