finished asellus's route in SF1, it was pretty fun? I think I'm less into the style of SF versus RS, which felt a bit more grounded and a bit darker. SF feels slippery, much more like the gameboy entries.

i'm approaching the end of asellus's story in sf1 rn, i think i'll go emilia next? asellus's was very weird, it felt like there wasn't a lot to do outside of the main story, but then the main story consisted of waiting around for guys to try to find me?

I recall fans did manage to touch up that game but I haven't played any mods for that one yet
I do remember thinking Sagat might have been influenced by Hanover Fiste when I first played SF1 but I'm reasonably sure that a minor character like Hanover didn't influence him

I've completed Triangle Strategy in 58 hours. It is the first strategy RPG I have finished since Final Fantasy Tactics in 1999.
SRPGs I've abandoned in that time: TO PSX, TO GBA, FFTA, SRT OG, FE GBA, FE1 DS, Disgaea 1, SF1, FM1 DS, AW1

Esoteric is the perfect word to describe how I feel about it lol. Not just in terms of gameplay but also the exploration and how the world is meshed.
I'll prob stick with Emilia for now. If it still doesn't click with me I'll prob jump on another SaGa game and revist SF1 later with more experience

like for a second i was like "wait really? it wasn't even an attempt to cash in on sf2's success??" but then i think about how sf1 is and it all adds up for reasons that are hard to articulate. like why would you make it like that but also why WOULDNT you. youre making a spinoff of Fighting Street
