i have never actually seen this film because i don’t like musicals but the queer bar i tended had a musical night and they’d show clips from it and i didn’t know what it was and we had a memorable night where i was like, “what is the plot of…stripper jail? i don’t know what it’s actually called.”

Currently my solution is to focus on it as an adaptation of the work it's based on.
