I really hope we get closure between Az and Nina next chapter. I hope tries to ask for another chance but she tells him she loves Sett. Please I need a resolution regarding the love triangle soon. The soon he gets fully rejected, the better so we could have the final arc focusing on SettNina romance

What I'm saying is that the ship illustrations in the artbook do not reflect the current developments in the story at all. Nina's long hair proves that. Those are not canon and are merely for fanservice, yes even the SettNina ones.

Idk though, maybe it was too much like lovers when they haven't officially gotten together in the manga? Remember that AzNina are pretty much lovers at some point and had shared intimate moments that SettNina haven't done yet.
So I'm right that they're side by side here. I do wonder why it was rejected but the fact that Rikachi posted it says a lot. I haven't seen the SettNina illustration in the artbook but jp settnina fans liked it so idk, I'll judge it when I see it. I hope Rikachi will finish this at some point though

I remember that pair of pictures! I loved when she did that on Twitter, and you're right, from the illustrations and how she draws these "omakes" I think is pretty obvious she leans towards SettNina ❤️

I think honestly she's more SettNina since the start esp Sett-leaning, esp the way she always redraw his panels to make him perfect, which she doesn't do for Az and Nina. Also the last time she ever posted something ship related is SettNina as well for Sett's heartbreak in chapter 28.

I know Rikachi said she's neutral, but this sketch and her message to the Sett fans makes me believe that she may have shifted to SettNina haha though, it's wise of her to no say it loudly because fans in social media may start a shitstorm but I love how she gives us these crumbs.

Yeah at the very least I believe she loves SettNina and won't make them dirty since she keeps making similar situations where Nina is asked about her relationship with the two and there's a stark difference in her reactions.

SAME! Specially since Sett is going to the castle to kill Alisha, imagine if he finds Az instead and the Beast God through Az badly injuries him, and Nina sees it. It may even be a catalyst for her to go berserk with her powers, who knows! I need my SettNina angst too!

I need SettNina angst! Since Rikachi seems to be making parallels with the prison arc, I hope we get a similar scene to when Nina said she cannot live if Az died, though for me that line isn't inherently romantic, because I think Nina didn't love him romantically then. She thought she did.

The way Rikachi used Sue's character for the parallel seems telling too. I want to trust that Rikachi won't make SettNina dirty. But if she does, I would be upset.

However, I think in terms of getting left behind by Nina, I don't think Sett would allow that. At some point he will probably come to the fortress or SettNina will reunite and would fight together. He has decided to go along with what she wants and if it's to save Az, he would do it with her.

SettNina are also always wearing couple clothes in their covers, like always since vol 3, meanwhile AzNina never did for volume covers. They only did in that be love cover when Nina was first published (but Rikachi changed it in the volume version) and vol 1 of anime bluray

I see Sue as having the same purpose as the Starbian queen: to make Nina realize things, steer her heart on a certain path, and lift the cloud of confusion on her when she hears about Az and Sett's conditions. Rikachi's writing has not been hitting lately but I trust her when it comes to SettNina

Yeah I also went back just to make sure and most of her pre-SettNina confession art has Nina in gold/blue. The red/blue era only started after that. And usually, Nina only wears that much red on NinaSett covers (and in the color spread of the first chapter). I'm watching out for more red/teal ---
