there were some difficult flows in the security software i worked on, but at least 80% of the effort came from PMs and devs arguing over what data could be displayed. i spent a lot of time updating tables (fuck you sketchapp) and data that should’ve been clear in requirements from step one.
i used to love doing ux design, but lately it feels like gray goo, it’s all fucking crud screens, dashboards, and sure there are things outside of that but it’s like 5% of the positions and you gotta be incredibly talented or well networked.
