Big news for a #SmokefreeUK! @senedd.wales has voted for the Tobacco & Vapes Bill, which aims to help end cancers caused by smoking and create the first smokefree generation. We now want to see the Bill passed in @houseoflords.parliament.uk and implemented across all four nations.

1/ Tomorrow, 31 May, is #WorldNoTobaccoDay, a day to raise awareness of the harms of tobacco products. Tobacco, when used exactly as recommended by the manufacturer, is the one legal consumer product that will kill most of its users. 2 out of 3 people who smoke will die from smoking.

It’s great to see members of @parliament.scot vote in favour of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill – this is a significant milestone in our mission to end cancers caused by smoking in the UK. It’s vital that the legislation is passed in all four nations for a #SmokefreeUK.
Brilliant news that the Tobacco & Vapes Bill has just been voted through its legislative consent motion in the @parliament.scot. This is a huge step towards a #SmokefreeUK after a similar @niassembly.gov.uk vote in February and we now hope to see @senedd.wales follow suit.

Today, Scotland will vote on legislation to raise the age of sale of tobacco. Tobacco is responsible for the death of 1 person every hour in Scotland. That’s why it's so important that MSPs support this world-leading Bill, to help prevent people from ever starting smoking #SmokefreeUK
