Songxiao was how I got into sxx but the axis I tend to have the most fun writing is Songxue! You’re correct that the Xuexiao dynamic is the one that grabs me least, though tbh even describing it as my least favourite feels like doing it a disservice.

I wouldn't know how to explain this impression and I genuinely can't remember if I've seen you discuss this before, but are they songxiao and xuexiao respectively? 👀

LRT obviously the SXX25 fic I received was perfect stunning etc but one of my other prompts was basically "a trio of oneshots featuring established SongXue, SongXiao, and XueXiao wherein someone is cheating with the other guy" and I still think it's a banger idea. someone should have fun with that.

I've always had a hard time writing direct words of affection (especially 'I love you's) in fics because a part of my mind jumps in and calls it cliche/uncreative/OOC/lacking in subtlety, but not with SongXiao. Like yes they go I Love You and Forever and Always and My Beloved
