Surtalogi and a Cryo Abyss herald are standing front of the Cat's Tail. Each is holding a piece of paper to post on the messageboard outside. The herald's piece has a bunch of scribbles and is signed "-V". Surtalogi's has a quote "Saatchi and Ike forever!" and signed "-S". The herald is explaining to Surtalogi that Vedrfolnir read the Vera's Melancholy book and sent him to post the message. Comparatively tiny Diona is watching them from the left side, very confused. The background is a lightened screenshot of the street in front of Cat's Tail from the game itself. Cryo Abyss herald is reading the Vera's Melancholy book to the purple "Sinner" crystal that is suspended in the air by some chains. Overlaid over the crystal is a from the elbows up vision of a young man with shoulder-length blond hair and light skin, dressed in a purple robe and light purple shirt. He has purple chains over his shoulders, connected to a black 8-point-star on his chest. (The man is my own fan-design of Vedrfolnir's human appearance). They are in a Enkanomiya/ancient civilization design room (referenced from the place where the sinner crystal was in the quest). In front of the herald and crystal is a coffee table in the same style, with a cup of hot tea, a plate of cookies and some books and scrolls on the side. In the rightmost corner Clothar Alberich is trying to say something but is too confused by the sight to speak up and interrupt them. An Abyss-corroded rocky landscape, with a sandy patch in the middle, and some teal-colored grass patches around and on the bases of the cliffs. The background is harshly lit by the huge red sun, the cliffs black in front of it. The cliffs closer to us are more purple or blue, with pink round cavities, like some of the rocks at the bottom of the Chasm. In the very front Surtalogi is sitting in the shade of one of the cliffs and is reading Vera's Melancholy. His greatsword, and the electro-purple colored version of the bow weapon skin from the first Stygian Onslaught are lying beside him. On the sand in the middle Skirk is bandaging up her right arm while still holding her sword in it. Her left arm and leg are halfway replaced by prosthetics made with abyssal power, both she and her dress aren't in the best shape. She has tear streaks, but her expression is determined. Around her are a few swords with their blades stuck in the sand, some rocks, and the cliffs around her have marks left by sword strikes. Everything is tinted very red-blue with a gradient. A number of screenshots from the Genshin wiki pages: two quotes from Vera's Melancholy (future saves the past, my heart is bigger that the universe), one from Dainsleif's official introduction by Vedrfolnir, one from Skirk's 4th Character story by Surtalogi, and a conversation about Vera's Melancholy from the Cat's Tail Message board. The matching lines between the book and Vedr/Surt quotes are underlined.

(Have some damage to my eyes that prevent me (without my glasses) from seeing certain colors, so I can empathize. It's why I like blues and purples so much, I can see LOADS of shades of those, including some that most people can't (like stygian blue). Reds though? Nope. Just one shade for me.🤣)

But here's one we should all be able to do:

a) Stare unblinkingly at box on the left for a while...
b) ...shift gaze to box to its right...
c) ...and see either a colour that's blacker than total black, brighter than total white or oranger than totally orange.

A chimerical colour test which tricks the eye into seeing so-called impossible colours: Stygian Blue (a hue blacker than total black), Self-Luminous Red (a shade that's brighter than total white) and Hyperbolic Orange (more than 100%-saturated orange).

A Plain-breasted Ground Dove perches on a bare branch on a sunny day. The bird seeks shade, displaying clear gray plumage on its belly, lower breast, and undertail. Its wings, tail, and back exhibit a darker brown tone with a light gray overlay. The head and neck are gray, and a small white patch marks the area between the upper beak and the eyes. A Thicket Tinamou forages on the forest floor. This medium-sized bird, similar in body shape to a hen, has a close-fitting plumage. Its neck and head are slender and stylized. The plumage over most of its body consists of brown feathers with white streaks running perpendicular to the bird's length. Its medium-length feet are well-adapted for ground movement.
