Do they really count a video as watched after only 5 seconds?
I don't think 'the internet' needs real humans anymore.
It's time we all went back to using BBS's or packet radio.

This was one of those things that changed me in online arguments waaay back in the telnet talker days. A fellow I respected said something like “I didn’t say it was better quality, I said it sounded better” about CDs vs Vinyl. The latter being just a hint of his subjective experience.

2.) the cartoons were here first. It was all you had, and you were grateful to get it, because before that it was text only.

Can't remember what it was about, but I do remember checking email using Pine via Hyper Terminal on a Windows 95 PC circa '97. My sister got a student account in India, which in those days limited you to text-based access, so Pine, Lynx, IRC and Telnet.

For my first two years on BlueSky I just had a picture of my dog as my avatar and never shared my name, so I can't really complain about having remained semi-private. It's only when I started publishing stories again that I figured I needed to be a human. I do miss the telnet BBS days.
