Incumbent mayor Wayne Brown was ahead almost everywhere, whilst 2nd place Cllr Kerrin Leoni was ahead in parts of South Auckland.

A humorous post from the subreddit r/vexillologycirclejerk by user TheLoyalOrder. The text reads: “Flag of Sweden but the colours are #00ABBA and #ABBA00” Below the text is an edited image of the Swedish flag, which normally features a yellow Nordic cross on a blue background. In this parody version, the flag uses teal (#00ABBA) for the background and chartreuse (#ABBA00) for the cross—colors chosen to playfully reference the Swedish pop group ABBA through hexadecimal color codes. The post has 935 upvotes, 16 comments, and a share button.
