- How did they join the guard? The story of how she became Prince Alex’s guard is a long one, but I'll do my best to summarise. She was raised in the Solar City, A city-State far away from the island kingdom where she now resides with Alex. The city, led by its sovereign, the Sun Goddess, is known as a place of great healing. Many go there to receive aid, and they often send out their monks to provide help all over the world where it is needed. Kenzi met Alex while she was training to become one of these traveling Monks. He would visit the City once a year with The Queen, while here he would tell Kenzi of the increasingly dangerous situation he faced at home; his father, the King, was becoming increasingly unstable and tyrannical, leaving Alex on many occasions fearing for his life. After one of these visits, the same year Kenzi passed her training to become a fully fledged Solar Monk, Kenzi decided to leave with him. He's her best friend, and she won't stand by while he faces threats oceans away. The King certainly isn't happy about the arrangement, but there's not much he can do as the queen states it's part of a deal to strengthen the kingdom's ties with the Solar City. - What motivates them? She’s been raised since childhood to protect those in need, and shes damn good at her job. Alex is her best friend; she will be dammed if she lets anything happen to him. - How old are they? I’ve yet to settle on ages for the cast, but shes in her early 20’s - What are they like as a character? She’s endlessly optimistic and always tries to see the bright side of every situation shes in or person she meets. She’s an extrovert who loves talking to people and making new friends. - Who are they closest with (why or why not)? Alex, shes her best friend on the island. As his guard, she spends almost every hour of every day with him. - Do they look up to anyone specifically? (If yes, does this person know?) Her Mother is her role model. She’s a high-ranking member of the solar order and taught Kenzi everything she knows. She’s very aware of how highly her daughter thinks of her. - What are their flaws? She means well, but sometimes her desire to protect can lead her to become a tad controlling of her charges. This is a point of tension between her and Alex when he seems intent on running into danger. - Do they have a belief system (whether it’s themselves or a deity)? She is devoted to her Lady Sun. She blesses her with her magic and lives to carry out her will of protecting those in need. - What would you consider their moral alignment to be? Neutral Good
