Writing this a couple days after the fact but, man conventions are fun.
I loved seeing all the art and cosplay. I got to see a Hazbin panel and talk to one of my favorite VA’s from a game. I should have planned better and went to see more. It’s really nice seeing the person behind the voice

The VA's work was great, loved Constance and Scarlet's tones, nailed their characters for sure. That said a personal wish of mine always for Constance to keep her voice once they merge, but more Scarlet voice to hear doesn't hurt anyone.

through a death certificate i had for YEARS, i was able to get my gr. gr. uncle's medical records from Central State Hospital, va's 1st mental institution for Black people, founded in 1870
after less than 10 months, he died there. my gma & her siblings never knew what became of their uncle

It should be common sense to NOT bring fetish or nsfw material to VA's or Actors to sign but then again, we do have cases of "fans" not respecting VA's boundaries by asking them to say weird shit in the voices of said characters ;_; !!

The worst part about the female Trailblazer recast in HSR remains that the redubbed "Nice!" In the idle dialogue is worse than the original VA's "Noice!"
(Aside of course from all the "you are replaceable" aspects to recasting actors who had issues with voice actor contract terms)

Very Anti-AI and you can tell there's a lot of passion in it. A lot of VA's involved. Lovely art. Lots of freedom for the player. Can be a little overwhelming. But I very much recommend.

The VA is funded 2 years in advance. After auditing a local VA’s contracts during the Biden Administration, at least 25% of the contracts, about a billion dollars over a decade were fraud, waste, or abuse. No real KPI improvements - money that should have gone to caring for our veterans.

Mihoyo fans believe that sag aftra was in the wrong for striking because the contract would flip mihoyo to a union game which would force all new va’s to become union after being hired (a good thing in the long run but an expense up front)
