Utilizzando lo strumento #ERIS installato sul #VeryLargeTelescope, un team di ricerca a guida italiana ha osservato per la prima volta un possibile pianeta in formazione, che sta scolpendo il disco di gas e polveri attorno alla sua stella in una struttura a spirale.

#Astronomy: #ESO's #VeryLargeTelescope Interferometer has imaged a dying star roughly 2000 times larger than our Sun and is puffing out gas and dust, in the last stages before it becomes a supernova. It is located in the #LargeMagellanicCloud.
