We just inherited 14 linear feet of vinyl records that we didn’t especially want, that the boys had to drive 10 hours to pick up, and now we have to go through them, decide if we’re keep any and then schlep the rest of them somewhere to sell. It’s not like we had other things to do or anything. 👀

i'll have to investigate further but my dad owns a reel-to-reel player that he's had since the late 60s when he was in high school. he used it primarily to bootleg his friends' vinyl records wholesale, but i recall a few tapes in his collection that were mixes sent by family back home in serbia.

My main question here was: Did anybody actually make mix tapes for high school crushes or anybody else as early as 1977?? Like, even by taping songs off the radio through the actual air? I seriously doubted they did, but welcomed evidence to the contrary. And I got a whole bunch.

It was very windy and rainy so Paris and Bartosz jumped on a bus to Headingley where they looked round every shop! Bartosz managed to find a couple of new records to add to his collection and enjoyed looking at Polish books in the bookshop
