Today, the Supreme Court of the United States gave Donald Trump the power to enforce a cruel policy he implemented earlier this year that blocks transgender and nonbinary people from having passports that reflect who we are. This is state-sanctioned erasure and a direct attack on our freedom, safety, and dignity. Our identities are not up for debate. No court can ever erase who we are. No court can ever erase our truth.
