I buy my own what will now be family heirlooms at thrifts, yard and estate sales, and would be happy to see it all sold off when I'm gone vs kept out of any sense of obligation. :) If your kids don't want your stuff, sometimes other people's kids do. Have a yardsale, you just might meet them
