Bsky censorship decisions of our (queer, furry, artist) communities is almost certainly going to be completely vibes based. I would expect banwaves over things that they shallowly judge in the moment to be 'not allowed, actually' while giving mere lethargy to anything actually demonstrably bad.

They do that constantly, usually in big banwaves.
If they individually ban cheaters the cheaters are able to troubleshoot why they are getting banned and fix it. and if they disclose how they are fighting cheaters they can easily react.
Thats why sudden banwaves are the best move.

Indeed. Generally speaking, botwaves tend to come and go, as do random banwaves. It's been a thing on all social media platforms. At least here it's dozens.

So far I've done a good job of staying around between banwaves here and on birdsite, if that should end then I'd rather it end in a bang than a fizzle into a small regrowth.

There is a lot of conversation behind the scenes regarding it, but the practical application isn't going to be explained at all.
It's the same reason as to why we do banwaves rather than whack-a-mole.
