More visible rain - this time over Oldshoremore Beach. Last time I visited there it was cold, still and frosty; I nearly didn't get the car back up the hill. Very different today - we had rain, hail and strong winds.

Last part of the Scottish trip, and a new destination for me - Tongue, at 58°N. We had a lot of rain and heavy winds today, including some enormous hailstones as we were driving towards Durness. This is Loch Beag, taken above Kylesku.

Waves coming off the basalt columns at Reynisfjara black sand beach. It's amazing that the camera technology is so good now that this was handheld at 1/8th second - the columns are sharp but I was able to capture the movement of the water too.

And now for a ground shot :) This is a view of Elliðæy, one of the islands that make up Vestmannaeyjar, just off the south coast. This view is from the ferry terminal at Landeyjahöfn.

Still think that fly agaric are the coolest of the mushrooms. Found this one in the same spot as some others seen a week ago, and loved the way it was decaying.
