Checkerspot put out a statement this morning but it’s still disappointing

We are NOT pro-Trump, we are NOT pro-ICE, we are NOT pro-bill, we are NOT pro-MAGA, etc. Anyone who knows us knows where we stand. We are grateful to the SBA for the loans we received to first, start Checkerspot 7 years ago and second, to move to our new location. We wanted to show the SBA staff our small business and how the SBA loans helped us start and then grow. This in no way is support for the bill or the current administration. You will see that we only talked with the press about the SBA, which didn't really make the final cut. It was narrow minded for us to think so naively and did not realize how the walk through would be portrayed - that was our mistake and we have learned an important lesson. We are only pro-SBA and the SBA helps small businesses and the SBA should not be political. We have and always will be big supporters of Baltimore, of community, of inclusion, of diversity, and really hope that this one-sided coverage doesn't make people think otherwise. -Judy & Rob Neff 13 minutes ago
