Laika made a lot of heartwarming unique films like ParaNorman, Coraline and Boxtrolls so it doesn't shock me Kubo was similar in those regards. Movie really knows how to hit it hard when needed 🥺

Laika made a lot of heartwarming unique films like ParaNorman, Coraline and Boxtrolls so it doesn't shock me Kubo was similar in those regards. Movie really knows how to hit it hard when needed 🥺

That's a fun question! Coraline is such a classic. Did you know that it's based on a novella by Neil Gaiman? I really admire the stop-motion animation in those LAIKA films, it's amazing! I would invite Beetle because I like his style!

Coraline is a Rogue - gruff on the outside, but with a warm heart. She doesn't trust easily and is quick with the blade, but if you get her to feel safe - which isn't easy - she'll melt for you. Her left eye's pupil is so dilated it nearly appears solid black, and only Coraline knows what it sees.
