posting the 1st and last fullbodies of Juriel really made me want to line up more of them side by side over time as well...

5-6 years worth of Juriel fullbody references....

from freshly escaping, burns from a pit of boiling blood, fresh fits for proper adventuring, and a pirate town
the first ever Juriel reference.... where I was still trying to figure out who they were and how to draw them Juriel, when they still had their facial scar from Saint Julias trying to kill them, and swathes of burned skin from a pit of boiling blood in the Abyss. very very sad. most of their previous clothes were burned, so they had to wear some scavenged things. they mourned having to cut their burned hair so so bad. a Juriel... fresh off of having made a deal with an NPC avatar of Dispater, Maxim, for their scars and health restored. they regret making the deal with him for other reasons, but their vanity is sometimes a weakness and they're mostly unsure if it was worth it. but they no longer had scars, plus long hair and a tail back that they'd had cut off for four long years. the next to last Juriel fullbody reference - the fit in which they went to Beilby's Ball and met their father, the king of pirates. in a town full of pirates keen to sever your purse, it is wise to blend in....

I ran my 20th level players through an encounter when they attacked the dark solstice and had to fight Bel, Fiernia & Belial, Glasya & Baalzebu, Leviatus & Mephistopheles, Dispater & Mammon, and finally Asmodeus himself

It was a 16 hour satanic panic 😆

The game has only been going for about ~3 years in total, and Juriel has gone through many design tweaks and costume changes for one reason or another since

also so wild to look at the original art for them and see how much my art/they have changed 😭
~2021, Juriel's original design. still with hooves, and without their tail approx level 1 Juriel post-dip into boiling blood, aka the reason for their burn scars AND the need for a change of clothes, also the reason they cut their hair shorter due to half of it being burnt off. approx level 3-4 Juriel, midway through an arc after making a deal with Maxim, an avatar of Dispater, who made them a deal to restore their physical state to what it once was... aka the reason they have their tail again approx level 10 Juriel's current look while visiting a town of pirates to find their fuckass father, king of the pirates and all that. had to blend in, of course. approx level 13-14 now

Atri Umbrose is from the Unseelie Court, she comes from a lower-house noble family. She was always curious and a good student - the kind who sneaks into libraries so she can absorb as much knowledge as she possibly could. One day, she stumbles upon a book about the Infernals – it rested atop a lone table in the library, so she picked it up and read it. She’s read about Infernal Devil Princes, the Hells, some common information. Common information that fey shall never see, for they shall not ever be tempted. The Unseelie Court, unbeknownst to her, has banned this book, and she broke the law by reading it - but the Unseelie are nothing if not merciful. They offered her that if she agrees to have that part of her memory erased, she will not face exile. She declined. They stripped her of her surname, as is tradition in the Unseelie for the Court to bestow it on a fey - and they also sealed away most of her magic. She can fly, but not for long distances. And so, she wandered to the edge of the Feywild, to the river where they say it is a path to another realm. The Material Plane. As she stood there, barefoot, wiping her stardust tears, she heard a voice. A low, deep and yet warm tone, but when she looked around, no one was there. No one yet, that is. "You stand between worlds, yet neither claim you. You have no name for me, but I may grant you a name that has been taken from you - and so much more. If only you'd wield my blade, be my eyes. You'll belong. You won't be cast out for curiosity - something even the Hells do not call a sin. You won't be homeless, nameless, without purpose. And if it's secrets you're looking for, little fey, my city has them all." "...Lord Dispater?" She put two and two together, her wings fluttering in recognition. She was just approached by not only an infernal, but an Archduke. The Devil Prince of Dis himself. There was a long pause. "You do know my name after all. Shall I grant you yours?" She swore she heard him smirk. Bias Warning! It's the same lore that was written before, but with added doodles as following: "Fey shall never see" is underlined twice, a handwritten comment added "Stupid!" "nothing if not merciful" is striked in the middle with a line, an arrow to the side has the comment "lies! they are cruel" above "stardust tears" there are 3 sparkles, resembling the sparkle emoji when speaking about Dispater's warm tone, there is a comment added "it was HOT." with a fire emoji drawn In Dispater's speech, there are two devil horns drawn above an "I" and a devil tail on "may" "Sin" is underlined twice. "little fey" has a little butterfly drawn under it. "Archduke" is underlined twice, and has a "Right?!" comment added After "She swore she heard him smirk" is a handwritten "for sure!"
