Zedenko slipped past Drorg’s snatching hand, desperately trying to angle the big brute between him and Pulb without getting stepped on. As Drorg staggered around after him, Pulb roared and lifted up a rock at him, but she yelped and dropped it as Prax bit off part of her ear. Zedenko tried to dodge the concussed Drorg’s grabbing hands by ducking between his legs again, but the ogre’s stumbling heel smashed into his side; Zedenko’s vision turned every color at once – mostly black – as Drorg squawked and struggled for balance. So he heard more than he saw when Jorang charged, leaped, and drove his shoulder into Drorg’s chest. The big guy’s huge calf slammed into Zedenko’s yep-they’re-broken ribs again as he fell over backward. Drorg’s head hit the ground inches away from the gorge, and Jorang immediately grabbed a meaty leg and heaved it over the side. With a little push from Zedenko, a medium one from Gallara, and a big one from Jorang, the rest of the ogre tumbled over the edge. And caught that edge with one hand before he could fall. Balls. Before he’d even gotten his other hand up, though, Gallara whacked her sword down and chopped his fingers off like she’d been expecting that very thing to happen. Drorg’s scream echoed up the chasm’s walls as he fell the rest of the way to not being a problem anymore. Oh, thank the Many.

In Prophecy #72 (sequel to #71, of course), the four MCs encounter a family of ogres guarding a bridge, just as the ogres are eating the remains of the last adventuring party who tried crossing.
JuneWorldbuilders 20: Dens, nests, families “Pull ‘em out yourself, then, if you’re so smart! I’m gonna get me some meat.” “You better stay right here and finish or I’ll -” The horned helmet bounced off of the back of Drorg’s skull and down into the gorge. “I told you to knock it off!” Dad thundered. “Let an old man have some peace or I’ll do you what for! Pull the rest of those knives out of your sister and don’t neither of you complain, or I’ll let Blukk eat everything that’s left, horses and all!” Drorg hunkered down, rubbing his ogrely head, and Pulb muttered, “He always was Dad’s favorite.” “Maybe if you didn’t whine like a human every time -” Pulb turned around and punched Drorg in the face. Zedenko dared to hope for one instant that it would give them the diversion they needed to sneak across the bridge. That instant ended, though, when Alakshi burst out laughing. The ogres all turned and stared at her – and everyone else who was with her.

I tried. 🤣 I couldn't do all the stuff I would with PS, but it's a functional ref sheet, at least. Hero Forge enabled me to fine-tune Mike's facial structure, so I wanted to update his collage to reflect that. I made a new one instead, with screenshots from the old one. See alt text.
Complete collage for one of my series MCs, Mike Blackwood (Lushonra), a cranky Gen-Xer of partially Navaho descent. Includes: references for a dog that may or may not appear before the end of the series, Mike's cars (I can't remember them all -- that info was in the PSD file :p), an old sketch, a a side view, 2 3/4 views, a front view with short hair, and a poem written in the style of the character. Image also includes a copper-toned Drorg (alien dragon), several shots of a '68 Fender Jaguar guitar (same blue color and possibly the same year as one of the cars), and a composite photo from Photoshop, which is my reference for his eyes. Two shots from Hero Forge have long braided hair, colored blue and red-orange. This is a later (post series?) version of him, and the colors are meant to represent the feathers of specific Ryozae characters who are close to/significant to him, which he would wear as a separate attachment. It borrows from a Ryozae tradition, but Mike does it knowing it will raise eyebrows, because he's like that. I've drawn it before, but I can't find it right now. Of note: Mike was a fully developed character before I added the Navaho ancestry. Any changes made to his appearance or persona after that change have been minor tweaks and extra pieces to the puzzle of his cantankerous nature.
