So I am reading the first Spectre comic, and so far it seems interesting. I always knew he was similar to Ghost Rider, though, but I couldn't put my finger on it until I saw that he has a similar ability to the Penance Stare. He's also kind of a Rizzler, which is kind of funny in my opinion, LMAO.

They more than any of the other late night hosts depend on shtick and the joke that is often dumb. They go for the cheap shot. Insight gets buried in the "comic" bits strung together. Too many fringe ideas find their way in under the cover of funny. A lot of times it just falls flat.

And like, I completely understand why they did that. There was a wild community around the book, completely enamored with its big-hearted and funny sex positivity. any creator would naturally think, “let’s get people of all stripes represented in here” but the comic didn’t feel built for that.

It has been so cool seeing Ryan North's career blow up into the comic book space. Who could have guessed that the guy once primarily known for putting nerdy (and funny) jokes above the same repeated dinosaur clip art would end up writing for the Flash, Fantastic Four, and other big-name heroes?

reading through the old archie mega man comic and flynn absolutely borrowed this line from DBZA. idk if DBZA use of the line was a reference too, but flynn's used their lines before and he absolutely did here. none of this is a criticism, i just find it funny.
