Another day of sparkling but shivery sunshine in our corner of south-east England has brought out carpets of Spring flowers and coaxed tulips to start emerging.

It’s that time again when motorists are warned to be careful of crossing amphibians. A small squad of volunteers in the next village also helps by transporting frogs and toads across danger spots to their breeding spot in a pond.

There is always a robin at the corner of Church Way and yesterday there were several, joining in a kind of call and response chorus as we passed by in the late February sunshine. Spring must surely be around the corner. *Sound on.
