BBC sport is extremely jingoistic. Try looking for cycling news if it doesn’t feature a Brit. Like much of their coverage of international sport, they will focus on “Brave Brit” finishes seventh stuff instead of giving any real news. Coverage of the Vuelta is usually minimal unless a Brit does well.

Me, too. I like most of the decent works breathed a sigh of relief that they hadn’t bowed to the bully in the White House and then they do this. Mind you, if you look at past recipients, it’s not a big surprise. These people are part of the problem not the cure.

That doesn’t seem to make sense. Over 75+ might be a better focus (no pun intended). However, not all people in their 70s have 20/20 vision. For example, I have navigated through my life with one very good eye. The other has been a passenger. If the decent eye starts to pack in, I’m buggered.
