🧵Omfg. In 1965, to keep an eye on China, the CIA hatched a plan to put a monitoring device on Nanda Devi, a difficult to climb mountain in India, overlooking China.

The device was powered by voltage generated by heat from radioactuve Plutonium.

They lost it in the icepack feeding the Ganges.
How Did the C.I.A. Lose a Nuclear Device in the Himalayas? (Gift Article)
A plutonium-packed generator disappeared on one of the world’s highest mountains in a covert mission that the U.S. will not talk about.

Puppy will have scritches then. Many scritches for puppy.

*Getting the icepack, tea towel and painkillers goes smoothly (entirely so we can go directly to the actual affection part), and Ingo heads to Mokou's room, setting them down on their bed.*

Do you want me to lie down next to you, puppy?

Cuddles it is then. I know I am quite cool to the touch but should I grab an icepack or anything as well? We still have painkillers, I think.

*He rests his head against theirs, gently.*

Whatever puppy would like.

Usalia has finally come out of the lower levels of the #𝐌𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 ' base. She was walking around again, but still nursing a radar-induced headache with an icepack.

She may be a little hard of hearing at the moment...

We should create more higher altitude headwaters retention basins to replace icepack. Or at least release breeding pairs of beavers into all top of the watershed areas to create cold water retention zones. Some "trickle down" environmental hydro economics

It was a night of hockey nostalgia and collegiate firepower as members of the 2006 Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup winning squad, and other Canes alumni, returned to the ice to take on the current NC State Wolfpack club hockey team in a game celebrating the 20 year anniversary of the historic Hurricanes season.

Had an awesome time at the @notcanes.bsky.social alumni game! Pretty cool to see our head coach tearing it up with his Cup-winning team. Well worth venturing out into the snow and ice.

... But Stormy deserves justice for the Canes Crew taking away his puck tower. Get that ice hog some pucks.

Give it a few more year and most of the IcePack players will have been coached by the Canes Alumni
