The US big 3 have been pulling back from Canada in terms of product and investment for years. The last of the GM Equinox left Ingersoll in 2020. And they cry about subsidized Chinese vehicles! Hell, our govt's gave #GM huge subsidies!! F*ck em #EV's #Canada #China
I spent time in China recently and let me just tell you American EV’s will be a thing of the past in Canada with this agreement. The technology in China EV’s along with the stellar appearance and lower cost will not be matched.

We could make electric vehicles here - in fact, I thought we did in Ingersoll, Ontario until recently? We have plants to make EV batteries, and we have rare earth minerals so this should be something the federal government supports.
