Completed week 1 of the #BirdwatchIreland Irish Garden Bird Survey and 13 species identified - it was lovely to see the fieldfares, but the sparrowhawk was the highlight. The robin was the only one that stood still enough to photograph though! #IrishGardenBirdSurvey #ornithology

Half way through my #BirdwatchIreland #IrishGardenBirdSurvey 2024/ #BirdsSeenIn2025 I have 29 in total species so far for Cappagh Finglas. Can't see myself beating my record of 35 species at all this year ebird.org/checklist/S2... with my photos over 1hr. while preparing dinner. #BiodiversityIreland

Not a common visitor to our #urbangarden, so it was lovely to spot this Bullfinch today. Especially during the #IrishGardenBirdSurvey 💚 Not the clearest photo, as I took it through the kitchen window in case I'd scare it away 😀 #Birds

Completed week 2 of the #BirdwatchIreland Irish Garden Bird Survey - the bad weather this week seemed to keep everything away from the garden so not a great number of species this time. #IrishGardenBirdSurvey #ornithology

Did not get much time to focus on the #IrishGardenBirdSurvey today - but the usual ~30 rooks were in the rookery and 8 fieldfares and 8 blackbirds were eating fallen apples, joined by a chaffinch...Hope to be able to add to the list tomorrow #BirdwatchIreland
