Before you sleep: 50,000 disabled people will be made poorer by Labour’s reforms. And that’s just the beginning.
This is what “grown-up politics” really means.

Labour knew these cuts would cause poverty — and they’re doing them anyway.

In North Northants alone, there are 2,200+ families on Universal Credit. The impact of #LabourCuts will be felt deeply across the country with the new two-tier system that still hasn't balanced the books over the coming years for many families. #LibDems will fight for a fair deal for everyone

In North Northamptonshire, over 3,300 students rely on EHCPs to support their needs. Labour came after the elderly, they've come aftered the disabled, and now they come after disabled children. We cannot allow #LabourCuts to continue to attack the most vulnerable in society.

"As Muslim, young, and disabled voters continue to desert Labour over the party’s brutal cuts and support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Starmer and McSweeney may yet come to regret their open disdain for the party’s own base," says Angus Satow, quite rightly, in Tribune

The Welfare Reform bill continues to be rushed through parliament as they look to hinder those with disabilities into work. Over 12,500 people in Northants rely on this support that will be slashed from £423.27pcm to £217.26pcm. Labour should support the disabled into work, not hinder.

This will potentially help over 10,000 children both with and without EHCPs in Northants alone. We urgently need to help protect the most vulnerable in society from #LabourCuts

#SEND #LibDems
The SEND system urgently needs fixing, but Ministers mustn't use that as an excuse to balance the books on the backs of disabled children.

The government cannot continue to ignore the voices of SEND children and their families.
We urgently need a new National Body for SEND.

Off work now? Good. Read how Labour treated a detailed warning about the deadly consequences of benefit cuts:
Ignored it for 10 weeks – then sent a copy-paste letter.
This is not government. This is betrayal.
