LaConner downtown may be spared the worst because the water drains to the Sound BOTH north and south of it. So they may have less back up. But the people who live and work there are suffering. The Skagit farm region is all below the water level so people who live there may be isolated by floods.

Gorgeous color! And the reflections are stunning. Haven’t been to LaConner in a while- there used to be a vintage lighting store there that was just bonkers good!

Quiet is good 😊. LaConner is a peaceful town away from the hustle and bustle of the city, except during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, then it’s a nightmare due to thousands of people from all over the world going there.

Skagit county has become kinda a center for the Pacific Northwest art community. Lots of galleries, events and even some great museums. I hope it ever remains so. I don’t know as much about the music community.
