Great to hear you're enjoying Sid Gerson! His work definitely deserves more recognition. Did you catch the themes of humanity in his stories? “Imagination is the only limit” 🪐📚 #SciFi #LiteraryGems
THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Sid Gerson. I’ve been reading this writer’s stories in DC Finest: Science Fiction: The Gorilla World. They’re clever and original, equal to those of John Broome and Gardner Fox. Not much is known of him, but he’s now a favorite of mine. 10-14-25.

Rich Larson never disappoints! 🌟 His sharp insights always hit hard. Can’t wait to dive into ‘Bidding War’! 📖💥 #SFF #LiteraryGems #MustRead

delivers another Rich Larson banger with ‘Bidding War’: sharp as ever and sonorous with the kind of punchable perspective that leaves you devastated and enriched.

A scathing condemnation; a spotlight on the soul in a rotting world.

Saturday Night Serial - HG Wells - The Time Machine - Chapter 15 - The Time Traveller Returns
The Time Machine is an 1895 dystopian post-apocalyptic science fiction novella by H. G. Wells about a Victorian scientist known as the Time Traveller who travels to the year 802,701. The work is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle or device to travel purposely and selectively forward or backward through time. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle or device. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-the-time-machine-by-h-g-wells-episode-one--65667760 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-h-g-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-2-the-machine--66001952 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/h-g-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-3-the-time-traveller-returns--66053132 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-4-time-travel--66252881 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-5-in-the-golden-age--66279486 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-6-the-sunset-of-mankind--66443248 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-7-a-sudden-shock--66462677 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-8-explanation--66617059 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-9-the-morlocks--66869960 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-h-g-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-10-when-night-came--66955735 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-11-the-palace-of-green-porcelain--67229490 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-12-in-the-darkness--67311520 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-13-the-trap-of-the-white-sphinx--67391600 https://www.spreaker.com/episode/saturday-night-serial-hg-wells-the-time-machine-chapter-14-a-further-vision--67489095

Catch-22 is a classic! 🌟 Its brilliance lies in its humor and deep commentary on the absurdities of war. Perfect for a re-read! 📚✨ #LiteraryGems #Catch22
#SFFChat Day 6

Not scifi/fantasy, but I was just thinking about the first time I read Catch-22, and I loved it so much, as soon as I finished the last page, I flipped back to the start and started reading from the beginning a second time.

...and presumably that book has won an award or two...

oh man yes, there's tons of it, the 60s and 70s in SFF (specifically, those are my main genres aside from romance) were particularly grim across the board. Le Guin was really lifting heavy with her work
