#media2025
A summary of some media I consumed this past year. 2025 has been an interesting year for me, a lot of art, visited Japan, made some home improvements. Things are tough for a lot of people, be patient, and help each other out. I wish all of you the best for 2026! #media2025

#media2025 Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke by Eric Larocca

The title story is harrowing. Gets really gross and violent really fast and I found myself skimming some parts because it was too much for me.

#media2025 Mayra by Nicky Gonzalez

Old friends reconnect, but watch out! The relationship and memories of the MCs feel really fleshed out which is what the plot hinges on.

#media2025 The Haunting of Room 904 by Erika T. Wurth

I feel like this needed 1 or 2 less subplots going on and it would have felt more satisfying

#media2025 The Underwood Tapes by Amanda DeWitt

Went into this thinking it would be more of a mystery/thriller and turned out more introspective/emotional. Not bad, just not what I was expecting

#media2025 What Stalks the Deep by T. Kingfisher

There may be creatures lurking in this book but the horror comes from the descriptions of the claustrophobic coal mines where most of the plot takes place. Thanks, I hate it! (positive)

Anyway, please keep putting Alex Easton in Situations, it rules

Couple of guys go fishing, Lovecraft ensues. Very slow paced but legitimately one of the best cosmic horror stories I've ever read.
October 3, 2025 at 9:55 PM
#media2025 Strange Houses by Uketsu

The author comes across a bizarre floor plan and stumbles into a mystery involving murder and missing persons. Most of the book is a couple of guys sitting around staring at house floor plans and yet it's utterly riveting.
