Maybe NATO is not the right membership for Ukraine. Instead it could setup its own militairy alliance. I think a lot of countries in Europe and some further away would join.

Part of the reason they want women and other marginalised people gone from the militairy is so the boys can go rape and pillage without accountability etc.

More and more glaciers are disappearing, which will make access to very rare minerals possible. It's about $$, not about defence, because Greenland already allowed US militairy bases there years ago.

though militancy does not imply "violent", militairies are organized and disciplined, and these are the main aspects of a militairy we should have. There's a large portion of direct action that isn't violent (though of course, you should always be prepared to defend yourself etc)

the US used to have a lot of militairy bases on Greenland, but left them, keeping one and thinking that was 'national security' enough. So... maybe leave well alone or kindly ask if you may use the bases again???

EU is an economical union and not (yet) a militairy orginazation. Better to kick out US of NATO and add Mexico if you really want to stand up to the orange bully.

(Im guessing militairy independance is also a major questionmark now. A independant Greenland would be by a margin the least dense country in the world at 0.14 people by SqKM. By comparasion Mongolia who currently has the record has 2 people per SqKM)

I think it shows how poorly Trump is handling this.
There is indeed a strong movement of independance in Greenland and Denmark has been willing to give it. The main issue is economic and now militairy dependance.
Trumps hostility here isnt helping tho.

I think congress is going to draw a line here. Greenland will not be handed over voluntairly and therefore requires militairy force. That would be the end of nato.
