CBC reports forensic audit is nearing completion on a private travel nurse agency flagged by the AG.

NLHS signed these contracts & must take responsibility for transparency. The audit must be public.

Government must also honour its commitment to accountability.

Someone I know has a surgical consultation appointment in St John's.
It's an 8 hour drive, plus accommodation.
She is a low income person who doesn't drive.
She may have to cancel this appointment because she can't afford to get there.
Does anyone know any resources for her I can pass on?

Covid is the priority. Still not seasonal. Still spreading all year. #CovidIsAirborne Admins headed to cabins instead of protecting themselves, staff & patients. Healthcare is UNSAFE to access without layers of protection including universal masking in ALL areas. #NLhealth #CdnHealth #CovidIsntOver

This free, self referral, screening saved my life.
Early detection allowed me to have surgery and radiation and the greatest gift of all, no chemotherapy.
Just pulled into the Cancer Care Centre at Western Memorial in Corner Brook for my third from last radiation treatment.

Cancer sucks and all, but I have met a lot of super nice, funny, and caring people in the Radiation waiting room.
Everyone has such a positive outlook and attitude.
Whatever Cancer Care Western Region is doing to keep spirits up is amazing.
Or are cancer patients just amazing in general?

Surgery (lumpectomy) August 5th.
Radiation in the fall.
Great chance of total cure with the surgery alone, but they always do radiation when it's a lumpectomy.

Sent an email today to Western Health to commend the doctor in the ER that had to give me my biopsy results yesterday.
I am sure it's not something she usually has to do in the ER.
She was kind, thorough, and knowledgeable.
I appreciate her care.
