Water tower. Jay Oklahoma. Town formed 1908. WPA funded construction of this tower in the 1930's. New city utility no longer uses it.

#OnThisDay Legendary Oklahoma football coach Bennie Owen was born in 1875. He was the head football coach from 1905-1926. He also coached basketball and baseball. OU's Owen Field is named in his honor. #OklahomaHistory #OklahomaSooners

Hildebrand Mill, est. 1845 at Flint Creek, Colcord, OK serving the #CherokeeNation for over125 years as a grist and lumber mill. Adapted from waterpower to gas until shuttered in 1967. I'm tangentially related to the founder.
