It was a heterodontosaurid and had a parrot like beak, a pair of canine like teeth, and likely had quill like structures on it body.

Y así terminamos con el Pegomastax, el dinosaurio que probó que no necesitas ser grande para ser inolvidable. Pequeño, afilado y con más actitud que un velociraptor enojado, este dino dejó su huella... ¡aunque haya sido del tamaño de una huella de gallina con complejo de estrella de rock! 🦖🤘

Desde la cabeza hasta la cola, el herbívoro parecido a un loro no medía más de 60 centímetros. Pegomastax se diferenciaba de otros heterodontosáuridos por los detalles del cráneo.

La especie tipo es P. africana; si bien fue presentado en un inicio como Pegomastax africanus, el nombre de especie ha sido corregido a Pegomastax africana para cumplir con las regulaciones del Código Internacional de Nomenclatura Zoológica, dado que la palabra griega μάσταξ, mastax, es femenina.

En el caso concreto de Pegomastax, se le dio mucho bombo desde el mismo momento de su publicación, recuerdo bien aquello. Notas en periódicos, ilustraciones, la reconstrucción que he puesto antes... Se tenía que notar que estaba Sereno ahí, que a nivel publicitario sabe jugar el juego.
