Good point. If it's willing to try, Europe can replace US contributions of equipment & $, but it can't fully replace US photoreconnaissance & other intelligence. That, logistics & the Navy are 🇺🇸's greatest military strengths
But Trump probably doesn't mind intelligence aid that costs the US nothing

The UK believed for a while that they could do precision bombing of German oil refineries *at night,* and RAF bomber crews certainly claimed to be hitting their targets.
But then someone thought of sending photoreconnaissance Spitfires out to double check, and the results were... uh... "different."

Soviet photoreconnaissance satellites did not yet exist, but if its worldwide network of covert base watchers and/or intelligence collection ships had detected the launch preparations or the test and relayed that information to Moscow, the Cuban Missile Crisis could have ended very differently.

Examining shadows of fences like a cold war photoreconnaissance analyst, determining that indeed I cannot walk that way
Being the type of person who spends 30 minutes zoomed all the way in on google maps satellite imagery planning the route you will walk from the metro station to the new place you need to go tomorrow is good actually because that's how you find good new sandwich shops to incorporate into your errands
