Raw precapture is pretty amazing, but not worth the extra weight to me.
Actually I hope that we eventually see a Z500—smaller than the Z8 but with most of its features. There's a rumor of something like that sub nom Z90. Time will tell!

It seems #itsmorethan #afeeling #MTAF and what's appropriate #WIA is not comparing like a pack of #Kristane, precapture, is off such a list.

Since they added Auto capture I think the only Advantage the z9 has is Raw precapture, which is definitely a big deal for birds, but I love the body size on it. Since I handled so much I wouldn't want a z9

It's very clear Glen, that precapture must be permanently switched on! Pity it only works in RAW on my R7.

If you sell both, you will definitely get the mony for a Z50II

Was ich bis jetzt über die #SonyA7V gehört habe klingt toll. Display, Autofokus und PreCapture. Klingt Lohnendes Upgrade zur A7RIII. Nur das Objektive von Drittanbieter nicht gut unterstützt werden ist, ein KO Kriterium. Mal schauen, was das genau heißt.

Here's my unedited shot, although I shoot and RAW but this was in JPG because of the way my camera settings are, I have a Nikon Z8 with precapture and if there might be a breach I shoot with pre capture, so I'm in jpeg instead of RAW

My first OM capture of one of these beauties using the SH2 drive mode so no precapture as I’m finding that captures less when you are just simply tracking a flight subject but great for take off.

Of course they will! And the funny thing is that they hardly have to do anything to this one. Add a bit better subject recognition and autofocus , better image stabilization, precapture and focus stacking … just like in the A9 III. That’s what all of us want. - that’s it! Dont screw it up Sony🤣
