Okay. This may be a very short update as I have done nothing. Well, not quite nothing as I did work and training type things that all help me in the long run and go to show that you can teach and old dog new tricks. But exciting life type stuff … well yeah. Not so much going on there right now.

Snowblind Siglufjörður: an idyllically quiet fishing village in Northern Iceland, where no one locks their doors – accessible only via a small mountain tunnel. Ari Thór Arason: a rookie policeman on his first posting, far from his girlfriend in Reykjavik – with a past that he's unable to leave behind. When a young woman is found lying half-naked in the snow, bleeding and unconscious, and a highly esteemed, elderly writer falls to his death in the local theatre, Ari is dragged straight into the heart of a community where he can trust no one, and secrets and lies are a way of life.

Not going to beat around the bush this week. Been busy at work all week, barely felt like picking up a book in the evening (not the book's fault, it was fascinating - all me). Not been anyway, weather ropey so I haven't had much time for walking and it really has just been one of those weeks when I have no idea what I am doing or how it is 1/4 of the way into September already.

Today I am sharing my thoughts on the brand new novel from Ragnar Jónasson, The Mysterious Case of the Missing Crime Writer. This is the second book to feature Reyjavík Detective, Helgi Reykdal and happens to be out today so Happy Publication Day, Ragnar.
