Rashoumon is one of the Japanese literature gems and possibly Ryonosuke Akutagawa's best written work, so it makes a lot of sense that Nasu read it during his novel lover era before jumping into eroge due to Takeuchi (he wasn't interested at first) and for Muramasa>

That's a really neat writing! That said I think it wasn't Muramasa what inspired Nasu (Although I can't assure you that Nasu hasn't read Muramasa, at least we know Keikenichi did with the latest Guda Guda!) but he 100% was inspired by the novel that inspired Muramasa, Rashoumon by R.Akutagawa.

Hell Screen is going well too by the way. It's a collection of short stories so i kinda dip in and out as we go. I liked the actual Hell Screen tale itself the most of course - and Rashoumon.
