Took a while to figure it out, but I now have a reliable way to record and emulate Fire 'N Ice, so I can do as many speedruns and edited videos as I want now! I should still prioritize finishing my fangame for now though, but this is great news. Hooray for retroarch! #fni #speedrun #firenice #snk2
The screen recorders I've tried to use all lag out my NES emulator, so I can't do speedruns without either finding a less laggy emulator / timer, or just continuing to point a camera at the game, which is annoying because of the low quality. This is devastating.

Okay since #fni and #sk2 are taken up by other people using the hashtag for non-Fire 'N Ice reasons, and #firenice is used by a bot that keeps posting Speedrun WRs in Fire 'N Ice, we should use #snk2 (short for Solomon no Kagi 2) for FNI posts since it's short and currently unused.

bro my newest Fire 'N Ice speedrun was so slow that the file size was so large that it crashed my splits when I was downloading the recording and now I don't have the splits for this run anymore because I wasn't able to save them. Still technically a PB in FNI any%, but way slower than my Snk2 any%.

プレイヤーの間では有名なバグなのですが、Capcom vs SNK2という格闘ゲームで弱P+弱K同時押しで0.5秒無敵になる前転ができます。その出掛かりに前転の無敵が維持されたままどんな必殺技でも出せます。
文章だと大したこと無さそうですが相手の飛び道具を抜けながら波動拳とかできるヤバいバグです。全キャラクターの強さランキングがこれの有り無しで塗り替わりますし公式大会では禁止行為です。

I started speedrunning Fire 'N Ice again recently, after a month break to edit. I got a pretty good time in Solomon no Kagi 2 any%, 27 seconds from my PB in FNI any%, when SnK2 is probably about 15 seconds longer than FNI, meaning I lost 12 seconds of time compared to my FNI PB.
